How to juggle three balls.

Juggling is a fantastic way to improve your hand-eye coordination. You don't have to be a clown to want to juggle. It is a fun activity for many people to do.

A great way to start off, is learning the basics of how your hands will be moving. Muscle memory plays a big part in juggling.

Toss a single ball between your two hands, using the motions of the image to the right. Keep your elbows in tight to your body. They shouldn't move around.

Next, try two balls with the same set of motions.

If you have the motions down and think you are ready, grab that third ball! Three balls will fill that gap that I am sure you felt when tossing two balls.

To start off, hold two in your dominant hand and one in the other hand. Let the first ball you throw be one of the two in your dominant hand. It will be the ball closest to your finger tips. Once you release this ball, toss the ball in your less dominant hand and catch the first ball with that hand. The second ball will be in the air and you will need to toss the remaining ball in your dominant hand so you may catch the second ball in that hand.

Upon the catch of each ball, make sure you are repeating the pattern or you will have many collisions. Also, make sure you toss each ball with the same amount of force every time so it will land in the same location. Muscle memory will be your best friend for this fun skill.

The key to great juggling, is patience, practice, and technique.

Keep practicing three ball cascade until you can get about 30 catches every time. Then, try some tricks!

Here is a video so you can see three ball juggling in action as well as some of the simpler tricks you can do with three balls.

As far as things you can juggle, I personally use tennis balls that I filled with 30 pennies in each. I would suggest people use bean bags to start out with since they will not roll away when you drop them. They also wont bounce off each other if they collide, forcing you to chase after them. Some use juggling scarves to teach children. You can find juggling balls on amazon or ebay for fairly cheap. You can also check out your local toy, hobby, or sports stores for juggling objects.

Happy juggling everyone! Good Luck!
